Since her early youth Angie Rottensteiner acted in many different theatres and worked for several companies around the world. During her school years she joined
various theatre groups and at the age of 20 she went to Berlin to study acting under Manfred Otto. She already founded two Theatre/Performance Companies: ROSIDANT and BILOURA Intercultural Arts
Collective.
While her focus in the early years was more on text-based theatre, very soon she started to grow more interest in physical theatre and dance. Building her own
companies (ROSIDANT from 2010 and BILOURA from 2013) she more and more also included musical work in theatre. In her recent creations she is aiming for a multilingual theatre which melts artistic
disciplines, works across cultures and confronts with political, social and philsophical issues.
Recently Angie Rottensteiner created the artistic project 5 VOICES FOR 1 which treats the issue of trafficking in women and prostitution. The project creates a series of events which includes:
